Kevin Wong will be speaking on The Future of Higher Education
After graduating from Princeton in 2005 and working as a hedge fund manager, Kevin Wong founded PrepMaven to provide families with quality yet affordable admissions guidance to equip/motivate/inspire students to become as successful as they can be – academically, professionally, and beyond.
Kevin will speak to Trenton Rotary about the future of higher education, and how to navigate higher education today. He’ll address questions like “Is college worth it?” and “What is happening and what will happen to college itself?”
Relying on his background as a hedge fund manager and financial analyst, Kevin will use an economic framework to shed light on the statistics and trends at various segments of the college universe. There are many different college segments to consider when investigating these questions: public vs. private, research institution vs. liberal arts, selective vs. non-selective, urban vs. rural etc… Other factors, among many, to consider are: how do different socioeconomic groups perceive the value of college, and how are employers considering the idea of hiring non-college graduates for good jobs?
For this complex topic, Kevin will share some facts, research, analysis, themes, specific stories and experiences, and his opinions and then open up the conversation to an interactive discussion.
