The Rotary Club of Trenton played a major role in the Mercer County HomeFront Playground Project:
All of the Rotary Clubs of Central New Jersey—including the Princeton Corridor, Montgomery/Rocky Hill, Trenton, Princeton, Robbinsville and Hamilton–worked together for a single cause: to raise money needed to build a playground for the homeless children at the HomeFront Family Campus.
The project included grading and surfacing the property as well as the equipment itself has a $150,000 price tag, a goal the Rotarians embraced Fundraising was led by Rotarian Art Martin (Montgomery/Rocky Hill), supported by a committee that included Rick Lazarick (Trenton).
Funds raised by Trenton Rotary amounted to $16,000. Even more so, Trenton members participated in the “community build” in May 2017, assembling and installing the playground equipment. Hands-on support was provided by Bob Ryan (President), Rick Lazarick (Treasurer), Chris Secrist, Suzette Price and Dave Breidinger.
