For our latest service project, we partnered with St James Church of Pennington to help serve those that came to St. Mary’s Cathedral in Trenton on Saturday, March 19th for a free hot meal and warm place to gather. Although this opportunity to help was at short notice, eight of us shared a smile, served 2 sit-down delicious corned beef lunch sessions, and had a great time ourselves! “Serving others above self” was fun for all! We will do it again in a few months!
Suzette Price co-ordinated the signups for any Rotary members, family and friends interested in volunteering for this worthwhile service project called the Loaves and Fishes Program. Thank you to Mike Tusay for his leadership in this endeavor for us. His church has volunteered for a number of years on a day when no soup kitchens are open.
